Covid-19 Statement

Worship with us in person and online

It is a great joy that we are able to gather together for public worship again.  On Sundays Mass will be celebrated publicly at 11am and 5pm, and on Wednesdays at 12noon.  Because of the current pandemic, the Government and Church have imposed essential protocols to keep us safe, and these will make our worship very different for some time to come.

All are welcome at any of our services, but we ask everyone to be aware of the following restrictions, so that we may all worship safely and in accordance with public health guidance:

  • Social distancing of 2 metres must be maintained at all times
  • Hands must be sanitised upon entry and before leaving the church building
  • Because of the requirement for social distancing, there is a limit to the number of people who are able to be in the church building at any one time
  • The children’s crèche will not be in use
  • Congregational singing is not permitted at present
  • Holy Communion will be administered at the end of Mass
  • Worshippers should be prepared to follow the directions of the clergy and sidespersons
  • Those who are required to shield, and those who are experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19 (Coronavirus) should not attend Mass

Please pray for all those who are affected by Coronavirus, for those who are isolated and anxious, for all in the medical profession and emergency services, and for those engaged in medical research seeking a vaccination and cure.

On Sunday our 11am Mass will be available via a live-stream on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/StBenetFink/
